Wayne Cooper - I am now back in the office and am still reflecting upon the wonderful time my family and I had at Maranda. The cottage fully met, and in some ways exceeded, our expectations and afforded us the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed and peaceful environment. The facilities you offered are first class and the views outstanding. There was space for all of our party with not one complaint as to feeling closed in.

Every opportunity was taken to absorb the tranquil surroundings of Maranda and to venture further afield to the attractions of the Broke district. Best of all was the ability to escape to the cool sanctuary of the pool or air conditioning of the cottage.

Whilst I would have liked to have kept Maranda a secret from others, I have been unable to stop praising it as a holiday destination to my friends and work colleagues and am sure that you will be soon contacted from some of them seeking to sample all that Maranda has to offer.

Apart from a short side-trip to Cessnock and a game of golf at Cypress, we did not venture far during our stay. I would say that the wines at Nightingales are first class and the friendliness shown by the staff there encouraged us to return on a number of occasions for wine tastings and dinner. On behalf of my family, may I thank you for letting us stay at Maranda and we all look forward to a return in the not too distant future.

Kate Millington - The house was fantastic- so good in fact that we had to force ourselves to leave each day. The pool was a godsend on the 30 degree day. We set up a makeshift volleyball net and spent our day in the backyard just lazing, baking, playing volleyball and reading the papers. I'd most definitely recommend the house to friends visiting the Hunter Valley.

Sarah Jane Cronin - We took both Bonn Abbey and Maranda for our wedding parties. The fact that both houses are literally minutes drive from each other allowed our families to spend a lot more time together. The houses were clean and organised upon arrival and were stocked exceptionally well. They are bboth very tastefully decorated and have a relaxed country feel about them, they are obviously both very well maintained and were a delight to stay at. The land that the houses are on is also well kept, fences are in good condition and we felt very comfortable letting the kids run free in the backyard even with so many people coming and going in preparation for our wedding.

Our stay at Bonn Abbey and Maranda will stay with us forever, obviously as part of our wedding but also for making the time so romantic and relaxing. With so much effort that goes into maintaining the houses and the care and consideration that has gone into every aspect of the houses and their contents, it makes them instantly welcoming and home-like. I would recommend anyone looking for a romantic country getaway or a family holiday to stay at Maranda and Bonn Abbey."

Natalie Campbell - The house was better than we expected. You can't always tell what a place is like just from photos but when we got there, we found that it was better than we had expected and having a lot of space, providing kitchenware and others things like games, movies, books etc. for use, provides a high standard. The house was also more modern and fresh than expected, very refreshing.

In addition, it was a surprisingly lovely touch to receive a phone call to make sure that we got there okay and settled in - who does that??
