Cants Lofthouse Vineyard Cottage accommodation is the perfect location for your stay in the Hunter Valley. Enjoy this beautiful cottage accommodation with spectacular views of the vines, mountains and native bushland all the way across to the Barrington Tops. Sit by the refreshing pool whilst enjoying your favourite glass of Hunter Valley wine and listen to the abundant birdlife. You will feel the stress of the city just slipping away.
Cants Cottage accommodation consists of two spacious bedrooms (1 queen and 1 double) and an enormous loft bedroom that can sleep up to 9 guests, enabling comfortable accommodation for up to 13 guests. The house has two bathrooms and a separate toilet.
Cants Cottage has a lovely country kitchen with all the mod cons and a great open plan lounge and dining room with a cosy open fireplace for those cooler months. Outside you have a large wrap around verandah that leads to a refreshing swimming pool and a huge cabana with panoramic views over the vineyards and valley.
Cants Cottage is fantastic for a romantic getaway or a great place for a larger group of family or friends. Country breakfast provisions are supplied by the onsite owner for the first morning, which include bacon, eggs, bread, milk and juice (please note no condiments are provided), plus freshly laundered linen and towels.....you won't want to leave.

Fabulous location to explore the wineries in Broke
The house was clean with beautiful views and a lovely open fireplace. A fabulous location for exploring Broke wineries or just relaxing on the expansive veranda.
A fabulous cosy retreat
We had a lovely stay at Cant’s Cottage. A cosy retreat, with a spectacular view. Betty was lovely and left us some breakfast for the morning, even setting up the fire for us once we returned from our wine tour.
We had everything we needed and were very comfortable.
Our stay at Cants Cottage was nothing short of perfect. The home was quaint and cozy, the beds were amazingly comfortable, and Betty is such a beautiful and welcoming host. We all loved it!

Great country cottage with beautiful pool
We had an amazing stay here and will definitely be back again and again. Betty the owner made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. The house is exactly as described and looks the same as the pictures. We are just a family of 4 but the house can easily accommodate 2 families. The pool was great and clean and the kids spent most of the daylight in there. The kitchen was we stocked well pots and pans plus utensils and basic foods for cooking like salt, pepper, oil, sauces, milk, bacon and eggs. Beds were very comfortable and air-conditioning worked very well. Phone and internet reception was surprisingly good, we are with Optus. Expectations for staying here should be classic country cottage with beautiful views over the valley. Highly recommended!
A most wonderful place to stay
Cants Cottage was a fantastic place to stay for myself and 9 of my friends. The location is absolutely perfect. The pool is fantastic and the loft bedroom was a heap of fun for a group of chatty girls to talk well into the night. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay around the area. Lovely cottage and location
Lovely cottage and great location. We enjoyed the fireplace and cabana and would love to come in summer to try the pool. Service was great. Will come back again.

Fabulous family stay
Wonderful big house with great views. Well equipped, indoor and outdoors, pool and cabana. We had a fabulous family stay here for a wedding across the road at Krinklewood and loved it. Betty was very friendly and kindly left us bacon eggs and bread and made sure we got access ok. Thanks Betty

Peaceful Cants Cottage
A large group of friends stayed in Cants Cottage. The house itself was excellent, clean and the beds very comfortable, plenty of people able to sleep in the loft. The kitchen was well equipped. Broke and surrounds were very pretty, nice a close to the wineries, and also a trip to Wollombi was well worth it. Lovely peaceful surroundings, and Betty the owner was very welcoming.
Amazing views
The place was perfect and the host very accommodating allowing a late check out. Amazing views of The Valley from the verandah and we even had a chance to cuddle the little pony who came near the fence to say hello to us

We all had a lovely stay at Cants Cottage! Beautiful house, cozy beds, spectacular views, close to all of Broke’s amazing vineyards and Betty, our gorgeous host that couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be staying here again. We didn’t want to leave! I always use Hunter Valley Stays for our Hunter Girls Getaways. Our next one booked is for the end of July.
Perfect place
We had a lovely time staying at Cant’s Cottage over the weekend. The house is so homey and was the perfect place to getaway with the ladies for the weekend. Would go back again!
Perfect for our needs
The cottage was perfect for our needs. Beatiful scenery. Great fireplace. Big dorm loft. Betty the owner greeted my party, told us the cleaners were still working due to the previous occupants, and suggested going over the road for a wine tasting while waiting, so no issues from our end. Betty even brought over some wine on the last morning which was not needed but thoroughly appreciated. Great place. Betty was great. Good comms from Hunter Valley stays.

Breathtaking property & extremely sweet host! Huge balconies, perfect outdoor areas, great open layout, amazing view
Absolutely stoked with the property and already recommending to friends. We were a group of 11, celebrating a hens and we couldn’t be more satisfied. Although downstairs was a little tight for all of us at once, the huge balconies and amazing utility of outdoor spaces gave us everything we needed and more. Betty was absolutely so welcoming and accomodating, such a lovely lady, even supplying bacon, eggs and milk. She and her husband designed and built the property themselves and we were obsessed with the character. I was looking forward to adventuring the trails around the 15acre property, but we sadly didn’t have the time. Already wanting to rebook with a smaller group, thanks so much Betty!
Home away from home
We want to thank Betty & the team at Hunter Valley Stays. This stay was amazing and very accomodating for our girls weekend away. We had a lovely time, the place was extremely clean, beautiful surroundings and just a wonderful host. If you’re looking a home away from home, we could not recommend highly enough.
Wow!
Wow, my family and I loved it here. I especially loved feeding the horses and patting the doggies. Betty, the host is such a lovely woman and meeting her and conversing with her daily just made the experience so much nicer! Such a welcoming presence. Such a pretty location as well, waking up early at sunrise and seeing the fog over the valley and those red skies was stunning. The property can fit so many people, it’s a cool place for a friends weekend away. Thank you Betty, I will be back again one day with all my mates so we can appreciate the beautiful home you and your family built.

Perfect for our needs
We stayed at Cants Cottage for my sisters hens and I cannot recommend it enough! The house and property was absolutely beautiful and fantastic for a large group! It was so much fun having the loft area as all of the girls were able to stay in one room together. We loved sitting by the pool and also spent a lot of time in the tiki hut. We had a great chat with Betty, the host, who was nice enough to put some extra lighting in the tiki hut for us while we were out on the wine tour. Everyone couldn’t stop raving about how the house was the perfect choice for the event – we all had an absolute blast and my sister was extremely happy! We loved our stay – it was perfect for our needs and really appreciate how lovely Betty was!

Great Location Great Host
We had a very enjoyable weekend, tasting the local wines and some excellent food. The cottage has all the right ingredients for a great get together with commanding views over the valley. Four bars on your mobile and groovy coffee just five minutes away in Broke if that’s important. Enjoy !
