Dalwood Country House is set on 50 acres and is an impressive interpretation of modern Australian colonial architecture - this sprawling country homestead has everything for the perfect stay in the Hunter Valley.
Dalwood Country Retreat has a real abundance of space inside and out. It has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Two bedrooms are king rooms (or 4 single beds) with en-suites and a further four queen bedrooms. There is a connecting room from bedroom 3 and 4 that has two double sofa beds which is perfect for children or a spill over for larger groups. This stunning property has a large kitchen and two separate inside dining areas, a fantastic modern open-plan living space with island fire. French doors, open to outdoor decks and entertainment areas with a wood-fire pizza oven and large BBQ. A feature of this fabulous property is the substantial lounge area to the rear of the house with a pool table and a second plasma TV (both TV's have Austar only, no free to air channels are available). The home is perfect for a stay all year round with a roaring island-fireplace to cosy up to in winter and ducted air-conditioning to keep you comfortable in summer.
The refreshing swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and if you're bringing the kids they will love the full-size outdoor play area and fully enclosed trampoline. There is nothing this property lacks and it is less than 15 minutes to the great restaurants and cellar doors on Wine Country Drive and the famous Vintage Golf course.

Extra guests are charged at $115 per person per night.
Children under 13 years are charged at $60 per child per night.
Infants under 2 are free.
Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $1200.00 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre- authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

We had a wonderful time!
We celebrated a special birthday at Dalwood House with all of the family and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect and we would definitely come back again! Hunter Valley Stays were immediately responsive when we needed more firewood and answered any questions very willingly.

Beautiful getaway
Loved our time at Dalwood Homestead. The house is very clean and well decorated and has everything you need enjoy your weekend there. The pool was beautiful and provides an amazing view for you to look out on – we even got to see Kangaroos hop through the property. It’s also located only 15 minutes away from all the main wineries so you are still close enough to town that you don’t feel isolated! Would stay here again without a doubt! Thanks so much.

If anyone is considering a country stay Dalwood Country House is a must
Fabulous in every way, meet our needs and more. 9 ladies, 6 amazing bedrooms with each a comfortable bed that meet every one’s approval, 4 bathrooms plenty of sitting areas to sneak off to have a private chat, read a book or just to quietly nod off. The well-equipped kitchen I must say we all loved the most as we happily shared preparing meals. We had too much fun to list what this property provided to help make our stay so memorable. But if anyone is considering a country stay Dalwood Country House is a must to experience at least once. Thank you all for the great experience we all got to share… We have all smashed Face book friends & family with pics and highlights of our stay. What can I say, everything it promises it will deliver on, our friends and family had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to booking it again! Ample room for 4 families with small children, an area for the adults, swimming pool, kids play area, trampoline and grass for the kids to run around in, a big win in my books! Fantastic location, ample room for 4 families and children to play around. Loved our stay there and would definitely come back given the opportunity! Thank you for having us!

To give this property 5 star rating isn’t fair. It needs much more. The best of the best, this property was perfect. We had a large family stay at this property to celebrate New Year. It had all the amenities for the young kids, big kids, parents AND grandparents. Whether you want to spend time walking to spot some kangaroos, swimming, playing snooker, enjoying netflix / foxtel, watching tv, having a drink or relaxing on the deck while the BBQ is cooking, this place has it all. There was plenty of room for all of us to comfortably sleep and walk about. Bathrooms were clean, Kitchen had everything needed, laundry was clean, two fridges for large families. Overall clean and spotless.

Great private retreat
Dalwood country house is a great private retreat, where we had a friends weekend getaway. It was clean, had everything we needed to live comfortably, and provided us with the privacy we needed due to its size. While it is located a little further away, it is still close enough of a drive to the vineyards as well as the Nelsons Bay area. Definitely recommend this place to stay!

Countryside House Hunter Valley
We had a wonderful time. The house is as you can see in the photos. The children enjoyed a lot the pool, the tumbling, and the playroom. We enjoyed the BBQ and the living room, The tables are the right size for our party of 11. The bedrooms were enough, and there was an extra room we did not use. The number of restrooms is good. There are kitchen appliances that help a lot and the number of cutlery and plates is good. We loved the overall place with kangaroos nearby. We went out to run or walk in the mornings with beautiful surroundings. There are supermarkets very near 10 min. Overall I highly recommend this house
