This quintessential 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom country house, modelled on a 1900’s dairy farmhouse, is in the heart of the well-known Lovedale region of Hunter Valley Wine Country just 2.5 hours from Sydney. Guests will not only enjoy the picturesque house and location but also its proximity to Cessnock Airport, major concert venues, The Hunter Valley Gardens, world class golf courses, as well as being central to the playful destination of Lovedale. Experience neighbouring Balloons Aloft, wineries and cellar doors including Allandale, Capercaillie, Gartelman and Wandin.
Guests will be spoilt for choice with an array of restaurants and cafes such as Leaves & Fishes, Emmerson’s, The Deck Cafe, The Brunch Collective as well as Binnorie Dairy for their award-winning cheeses. And for those coming for weddings, Lillian’s on Lovedale is only moments from Petersons, Lovedale Wedding Chapel, Wandin Valley, Moravia Park and Dark Horse for these special occasions.
Lillian’s is designed to host 4 guests and has one king room with en-suite and the other a king that can split to accommodate 2 singles. The main bathroom is charming and features a large, windowed spa bath for you to enjoy a truly serene soak. With fully ducted air conditioning, you and your guests will be comfortable all year round and throughout the winter you can snuggle up by the log fire and enjoy a glass of fine Hunter Valley wine with your Netflix movie of choice or cook up a storm either on the BBQ or in the modern country kitchen with coffee machine and all the convivences you’ll need. Take a spot on the wide verandas for your morning coffee and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the serenity of the property’s 25 acres. Lillian’s is also the perfect spot to escape to work or create and with Wi-Fi available you can connect or unplug as and when you choose. Stay for a weekend or stay for a week, Lillian’s has all you need to rest, play and celebrate and we promise you, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into the pages of country magazine.
Please note, Lillians on Lovedale has exterior security cameras to monitor the exterior of the home only for the protection of the property. Security cameras are commonplace at many of our rural properties. Footage is private and remains the property of the owner, and will only be used for insurance liability reasons, to monitor occupancy and other policies noted in our Terms & Conditions. They, in no way, are there to infringe upon the expectation of privacy of guests in these exterior areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in loss of security deposit or eviction.

A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.
Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.

Delightful!
We enjoyed an 11 day stay in Lillians on Lovedale around the time of our son’s wedding. The cottage was a delightful place to stay in the Hunter Valley. It is located conveniently near Cessnock and the Pokolbin shopping precinct and is in the quiet surrounds of Lovedale. The cottage is spacious, attractive and comfortable. We enjoyed the comfortable bed, the spa bath and the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped and we were provided with a generous supply of breakfast items on arrival . We enjoyed the spacious grounds and were visited dailly by a mob of kangaroos. Overall a very lovely break inthe Hunter Valley.

Beautiful Cottage
A beautiful house in a picturesque setting. Made perfect by the kangaroos and their joeys playing out the front. We loved the kitchen, appreciated two bedrooms each with a bathroom and were challenged by the fire place. The cottage was well appointed with quality everywhere and everything. Loved it and would definitely stay again!!!! And a very convenient location to Lovedale wineries as well as Pokolbin.

We love Lillians Cottage in Lovedale. We have stayed many times and note on our recent visit that there is a comfy new lounge suite and an upgraded big TV. It is on a huge block and kangaroos regularly visit in the early morning. Lillians is close to many great Cellar Doors and restaurants in Lovedale too. It is styled beautifully and immaculate throughout.
Cozy little hide away
Lillians is a cozy little stay for a holiday getaway. Ideal for a small family. We booked this 2BR property with 4BR property Black Creek Paddock which is only 2km apart to accomodate 6 couples . The place was neat and clean spacious rooms and common area and kitchen.

Tucked away in Lovedale
Fantastic location. Close to all the wineries and tucked away in Lovedale. Very quiet, peaceful and with some friendly kangaroo locals. Lovely house with so much potential.
I only wish I could call this place home.
It’s only been two days since we left, but I miss this place already. The house itself is absolutely stunning, beautiful renovating, with so much character, and the surrounding land adds to the beauty and tranquility of the place. As a writer, this would be my ideal home; as a tourist, this was my ideal holiday destination. I couldn’t fault anything about this place, and wouldn’t want to. I do, however, wish to visit again and again, especially as there is still so much to see, and so many wineries and restaurants to visit in the area. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and helpful, and we really appreciated the gift of local wine and oil. Would I recommend this place? Wholeheartedly! And we will be back! Ooh! There was one thing i would’ve liked to have seen, and that’s more history of the place and previous owners. Even a before and after renovation album would’ve been great to see. But that’s not a complaint; that’s just a personal want. 🙂 Honestly, it put my own home to shame. And whoever renovated the place to the state it is in now, needs to be applauded. I only wish I could call this place home.

Beautiful cottage, just perfect for our needs! Very clean. Very comfortable and private. Appreciated the surprise complimentary bottle of local rose, thank you. Easy to find location, close to many vineyards and eateries. Easy check-in. Staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to be pleasant. Perfect stay, although not long enough!!
A beautiful cottage!
A beautiful cottage with a lovely layout on a fabulous property close to all the nice places in the Hunter. The sun popping over the trees and warming the kitchen in the morning and setting on the front veranda late afternoon. A small mob of kangaroos regularly settled on the expansive lawns at the front of the house. We thoroughly enjoyed Lillian’s of Lovedale.

Very cosy and so welcoming
This was our second stay at Lillian’s and it was even better than the first time, which we did not think possible! Place is immaculately clean, very well equipped and just beautiful. Very cosy and SO welcoming. Team ay HVS are exceptional. Quick to respond and amazingly helpful! Very relaxing and enjoyable weekend!
