A beautiful step back in time - Millfield Homestead is a wonderful historic homestead built in 1860, with all the enduring original features of this era, including beautiful deep wrap around verandahs.

Millfield Homestead is situated on 5 acres, on the edge of the historic village of Millfield, and just a 10 minute drive to the heart of the Hunter Valley wine country.

This timeless beauty has been tastefully styled with luxurious furniture and comfy beds and boasts six spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms, a beautiful country kitchen, large dining and lounge spaces and a gorgeous sunroom. The Homestead characters include high ceilings, stunning timber floors and beautiful cottage gardens. There are many charming outdoor locations to enjoy alfresco dining or to get back to nature, including a beautiful feature dam and an in-ground swimming pool. There is even a great cubby house for the kids.

The large combustion fire combined with full ducted air conditioning and ceiling fans makes Millfield Homestead the perfect place for exploring the Hunter all year around.

ACCOMMODATION
Millfield Homestead will accommodate 14 guests or 11 guests in separate beds.
Bedroom 1 – King Bed plus additional King Single (3)
Bedroom 2 – King Bed or 2 King Singles plus additional King Single (3)
Bedroom 3 – King Bed with en-suite (2)
Bedroom 4 – King Bed or 2 King singles (2)
Bedroom 5 – King Bed or 2 King singles (2)
Bedroom 6 – Queen (2)

* Bedding configurations cannot be changed less than 14 days from arrival date
* King beds that can be split will remain as normal unless king singles are requested
* Linen for day beds, sofa beds, foldout or trundle beds is not supplied unless requested.

TARIFF
Weekend - minimum 2 nights for up to 10 guests (adults or children) from $1500 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - minimum 2 nights for up to 10 guests (adults or children) from $1125 per night (Mon-Thur)
Extra adults are charged at $110 per person per night
Children aged 2-12 are charged at $60 per child per night
Infants under 2 are free.

MIDWEEK BOOKINGS and LONGER STAYS - Please contact us for a quote. Discounts are available on midweek stays and longer stays of 4 nights and over.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $1500.00 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

NOTES - One night stays are available midweek and will attract a surcharge.
Weekend one night stays may be available but will attract a surcharge.
Weekend Public Holiday bookings must a minimum 3 night stay at full weekend rate. Easter, Christmas and New Year are a 3-4 night stay and charged at full weekend rate.
Concerts weekends in the Hunter Valley do have a set minimum to stay and may attract a surcharge

Simply stunning

Millfield Homestead is stunning. So comfortable, stylish and well appointed. We had a friend group of 14 adults staying for a friend’s wedding in the area and found Millfield Homestead to be an amazing space for our 3 night getaway with plenty of separate indoor and outdoor sittings areas and enough bathrooms for such a large group to be extremely comfortable and relaxed.

Wonderful Retreat

Millfield Homestead was a wonderful retreat to celebrate my 80th birthday with my family. Cozy, comfortable and peaceful set in lovely surroundings, members of my family came from as far away as New York and the North Coast of N.S.W. and was therefore a delightful contrast for them. The Homestead was well supplied with all that was needed, we all loved the experience.

Beautifully appointed.

The Millfield Homestead was perfect for our family get together over Easter. The house and grounds are spacious and very comfortable and suited the needs of our 5 family groups - including a small child and babies. The bedrooms were beautifully appointed and the beds were especially comfortable. The pool area was relaxing and well appreciated in the warmer weather.

Great Hunter Valley Weekend

The property was even better than we expected. Very comfortable for our 10 guests. The equipment level of the kitchen was excellent and the property location on the road from Wollombi is great for visiting vineyards and local restaurants.

Fabulous house - had everything we could ever need

Such a beautiful house! We were a group of six mums having a weekend break away in the Hunter Valley. We couldn't have stayed anywhere nicer. Every bedroom was just so beautiful and sitting around the fire together chatting was the perfect way to spend the evenings! The house was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The gardens are superb as well and there are lots of different places to sit in the sun at all times of the day.

We had the most amazing time. Everything was beyond perfect and we can’t wait to come back again. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen was a dream. The pictures don't even begin to do the property justice, I can not recommend this property more. We will be back for sure!

Glorious old world charm - heaps of space

11 of us stayed for a few days to attend a wedding at nearby Stonehurst Cedar Creek. The house is amazing, with so much old world character and room for everyone to escape to their own private retreat. The gardens and facilities are beautiful - even fresh eggs from the Chickens!

Absolutely Stunning!

Absolutely stunning! My family and I had the best weekend away! We fell in love with every inch of this beautiful home and felt at home right away. It was very hard to say goodbye at the end of our little getaway. Some of the things we loved were watching the sunset from the back deck, collecting fresh eggs from the chickens in the morning, the warm fire place at night; and the decor is just, WOW! The mattresses and pillows are probably the comfiest we've ever slept on, apart from our own beds. We honestly could not fault a thing! Hunter Valley Stays also made the booking process very easy.

A lovely house. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautifully furnished and comfortable for all 10 of us and baby. Old style kitchen while not hugely practical catered for our needs just fine and added to the charm of the place. Gardens well maintained, and fresh eggs from the chickens out back was a nice surprise. Modern bathrooms and comfortable beds were also much appreciated. Convenient location to the main wineries in Cessnock/Pokolbin.

Attention to detail superb

Exceptional!

Hunter Valley stays were excellent to communicate with both prior to and during our stay and especially helpful with any queries that we had. The venue itself is exceptional. The pictures really do it no justice and it far exceeded our expectations. The house really is fantastic- the decor is incredible and the beds are so so comfy! The only negative thing about staying here was the fact that we were going to a gig and actually just wanted to stay and enjoy the house and all its communal spaces- particular shout out to the BBQ area!!!! If you are traveling for a concert it is really convenient. It's a little far from Hope estate but you can arrange a bus pick up and drop off 1.5kms from the house so it works out fine!
