Absolutely fabulous home
We rented the house for our family wedding.. it was magnificent.. Each guest had a beautiful comfortable room to stay in for two nights. The home is vast and has plenty of room for a large group. The view is beyond beautiful.. stunning and so so relaxing. Everything you need is there, including a pool and fantastic games room.. The Pizza oven makes delish pizzas and the outdoor deck fabulous for dining alfresco. The indoor dining table is so large it comfortably fits the whole gang. It is so tastefully decorated that everyone was commenting on how ingenious the design was. Thank you Tharah .. you sure lived up to our expectations

Great place for a group get together
What a great place for a family or group get together in a beautiful rural setting. We celebrated a family milestone with 9 adults and 9 children. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were plentiful and modern. The fact that we could sit all 18 around the magnificent dining table was great. We did the same outside as well. The pizza oven was well used. The games room was very popular with the children as was the bonfire facility. "Awesome" was the word used. The manager assisted with the retrieval of an item left behind. Great and friendly service. Would recommend this property to any large group.

Couldn't fault our stay - beautiful!
I honestly could not fault our stay at Tharah. It could not have been easier to organise and the place itself was beautiful, homely and very clean. The property had enough amenities to keep adults and kids occupied and relaxed for 3 days. The surrounding views and landscape was gorgeous and we were still so close to the HV gardens, chocolate and cheese factories ad endless wineries. Thank you to the management team at Tharah. You were so quick to respond to any queries and only too pleased to help!

A beautiful destination
Tharah was again a beautiful destination with luxurious furnishings and fittings. We gave the pizza oven a real workout and enjoyed having a table that we could all gather around.

Everything and more!
Tharah Estate was everything we wanted and more. Although we had a bit of rain one day, Tharah has a beautiful covered outdoor space to still enjoy the BBQ and wood fire oven facilities. The house is super spacious which allows to have a great weekend away with friends but still have a bit of privacy. We didn't even use all the different parts of the house. We love cooking so the kitchen with all its Smeg appliances was a real treat. TIP: there's a 2nd fridge in the shed that we had originally missed. Plenty of space and storage in the house!

Wow!
We could not rate Tharah high enough! An absolutely beautiful property with outstanding views which was so peaceful and quiet! Perfect for our girls weekend away! The property fit 16 of us so comfortably as did all the facilities. The kitchen - WOW!! The back shed is an awesome addition and was so beautiful sitting under the fairy lights at night! We could not fault anything at all and can not wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful well equipped 9 bedroom,5 bathroom home. It accommodated 17 ladies with ease and the pool was in full use day and night. This home has everything you could ask for...and more. Not far either from Cessnock and of course the wineries. Thoroughly recommend it.

Worth every cent!

Great place for large group
This is the 15th year this group has gone somewhere. Catering for all our needs takes quite a bit of planning.Tharah fulfilled all our requirements plus some. The play shed was enjoyed by the males ready to do battle over pool, table tennis and darts. The large kitchen and dining area allowed easy food preparation and the table allowed us all to be together. We were all impressed with the lovely decor and comfortable seating areas. We are deciding whether I need to search out alternate venues or we decide to make Tharah our annual escape.

Excellent home to get away
Our stay at Tharah Mount View was truly exceptional. This beautiful home is set in the most picturesque (and Convenient) location with easily accommodated our large group, with plenty of room to spare. We were very impressed with the gorgeous styling of every room and all the amenities were of superb quality. This home is intuitively designed which made living here so easy. John and Josephine were an absolute delight to deal with and we would most definitely stay at Tharah again. The only disappointing thing was… having to pack up and leave. Tharah is the kind of holiday home that anyone would dream of owning one day. Many Thanks “ La Familia”.

A lovely country feel home for a Family Gathering
We celebrated our mother and grandmothers 80th Birthday over the October LWE. Tharah was able to accommodate all 21 of us very comfortably, including two pups and a bird in a cage. Very kind to allow our pets to come along. The shared spaces were perfect for us. We used the pizza oven and made our own pizzas and the dough! The Mountain View’s were beautiful. We had one special dinner at Bistro Molines which is down the road 700 metres and some of us walked there, whilst some drove. I would recommend Tharah for a special family gathering. We all had a fabulous time.

Wonderful Family Getaway
“We enjoyed 3 beautiful days at Tharah for a family holiday. There were 10 of us & 2 dogs & everyone had room to spread out & have some private space in the 9 bedrooms. The 5.5 bathrooms were also much appreciated as were the 2 lounge areas, the very spacious well equipped kitchen & huge dining area. The games room proved to be popular & the outside barbecue & grounds area were ideal. The fire pit & indoor fireplace provided welcome warmth & the opportunity for toasting marshmallows. The refurbishment of this property has been done beautifully & each lounge room & bedroom has been styled in a most attractive manner. We certainly hope to be able to return again to Tharah at Mt View.”

What a perfect property to bring all of us together. 6 families in one house,comfortably! That's unheard of. We didn't see the kids as they were in the shed all weekend! It was our annual family get together and couldn't fault the property. Sunset walks to dart games! Insane. We visited the property 2 years ago and today it looks more fab and kept up to date 2 years later.

Extremely accommodating
Overall a very pleasant stay. We had some complexity with requiring a conference center at short notice and a late checkout. The staff were extremely accommodating and I was very appreciative of this.

Perfect group stay for a wedding in wine country
The property is fantastic. Huge place and plenty of space for all of our large group. We loved the pool, the BBQ and the views of the hills. The games room was definitely well used and made it an awesome place to base ourselves for a wedding in Wollombi. We were the first group to stay at Tharah after the refurb and it's been done magnificently. Comfy beds, spacious bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen for our group dinners. Would love to come back again!

WOW!
This was our third or fourth time at Tharah and we were the first to experience the renovations. Wow! We and our guests were impressed. The recent renovations have taken Tharah to the next level. The facilities are second-to-none. The addition of the "games barn" was unexpected and we took advantage of the new facilities well into the night. Our guests were amazed with the quality of the furnishings and overall style of the property. The new kitchen, furniture and bathroom renovations are luxurious.

Excellent Property
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - 4 adults and 4 kids aged between 5 and 7. More than sufficient space for everyone including two dogs. Situated close to local vineyards (walking distance) which is handy for wine tasting and also short drive to Hunter Valley Gardens and restaurants.

Lovely house. Beautiful view of the country, and great location.We booked the house as we had a party to attend at Bistro Molines. Great location - only 700m to the restaurant. Beautiful area for walking / morning run. Loved the fires and pizza oven. Comfy beds.

Beautiful property for a family get away
Spacious home well suited to the three generations of our family. Loved the tranquillity of the large acreage setting with the Brokenback ranges in the background. Easy driving to all the attractions of the Hunter with a winery within 5 minutes walk. An open fire and a slow combustion stove added to the winter experience and the outdoor pizza oven was a lot of fun. Everything for a great weekend seemed to have been thought about and provided. The vote from everyone is "we'll be back"

Fabulous for a large group
Tharah was an outstanding property. It was perfect for a girls weekend celebrating a friends 50th birthday. 10 people had ample space in separate beds, bathrooms and living spaces.
