In true Italian style, this beautiful accommodation has been designed with hospitality in mind and features spacious indoor and outdoor areas to bring friends and family together to entertain, relax, swim and celebrate with fine wines. Vico Monti has everything for an ideal vineyard stay. The open plan and light-filled interiors are so welcoming and provide guests with large informal living, dining and alfresco areas to enjoy in all seasons.
Centrally located on the popular Hermitage Road food and wine trail, Vico Monti is located 200 metres from Enzo weddings, and the brewhouse. Foodies will be spoilt for choice with Yellow Billy restaurant at the Piggs Peake winery, just a stroll away, plus the highly awarded Muse Kitchen and Botanica restaurants only a short drive from the property. Explore nearby stunning boutique cellar doors such as Tintilla, Keith Tulloch, Wombat Crossing, or venture to the Hunter Valley Gardens, Vintage Golf Course or famous Hunter Valley Wineries such as Tyrells, Brokenwood, Leogate and McGuigan Wines just one a street away.

Entertain on the adjoining barbeque terrace with vineyard views or relax in the alfresco room where guests can take in the picture-frame views of the house paddock vineyard in any season.
The main house features a wood burning stove, a gourmet kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and electric cooktop and oven - perfect for entertaining groups of families and friends. The main house features four bedrooms, two generous bathrooms, two en-suites in the main house and laundry facilities. The guest studio features a bedroom with queen bed and separate bathroom with shower. The studios' living area features two king single beds which can be set up as day beds if not required, as well as pool table and bar.
A great way to explore the area is to stroll or bike hire on the Hermitage Road cycleway that runs all the way along Hermitage Road, linking more than a dozen wineries along the vine-lined route from the New England Highway in the north to Broke Road in the south. There are several places where you can hire bikes on the Trail and set off on your two-wheel adventure.

Awesome
Return visitor and the place again has improved. New outdoor area soon to be completed with a soon completed fire place will be great for the winter months and not mention a plunge pool will also be great for the summer. The central location allows for easy access to all local attractions. After long day it is great to return back to Vico Monti and chill. I must stay all facilities are clean, comfortable and the beds are great slept like a baby. Need to to get the name of the supplier!

It is an amazing quiet location and with a warm house and beautiful scenery.
Perfect for a group of 12
Group of 12 adults stayed here over the Easter long weekend. Everyone was very impressed with Vico Monti! It feels spacious and very clean. The rooms were all furnished nicely and beds very comfortable. The area is so peaceful and it was so nice having drinks and nibbles outside of an evening looking at the vineyards and lake. We even saw some kangaroos nearby as the sun was setting making a very picturesque view! The kitchen has all the essential cooking appliances/ utensils needed with oils, salt, pepper etc. The complimentary Vico Monti wine and Easter eggs were a nice welcoming touch and very appreciated! Vico Monti is in walking distance of the Brewhouse/ Peter Drayton wines and also Piggs Peake winery so we really liked the location. The only thing which I may suggest is to offer wifi as the reception can be a bit hit and miss, but other than that cannot fault our stay and would definitely recommend. Thank you!

We found the Property to be the best location for our gathering, walking distance to all the important vineyards. The property was clean and had a fabulous abmbience, we particularly enjoyed the outside fire room. All guests were very happy. Thank you.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vico Monti house. It was just what we were looking for, when we had decided on getting together for the weekend, and offered a comfortable and relaxing place to chill out after a day touring the wineries.

We loved Vico Monti. It was beautifully renovated and had everything we needed.
Warm and inviting home
A warm and inviting home in a great quiet central location to explore the Hunter. The outlook was soothing. Two great living spaces for a large family to enjoy and plenty of open spaces for the kids to play. The annexed living space accommodated the 4 teenaged children with their own bathroom, TV, kitchenette and pool table, leaving the main for the adults to enjoy the bold reds of the Hunter.

The property was absolutely fantastic! The house had so much space and was beautifully laid out so everyone could enjoy their own space, or come together as a group at times. There was so much consideration given to our stay including having the house cooled for our arrival. The plunge pool was beautiful and it was amazing to relax in the outdoor area and watch the kangaroos come to the dam every afternoon. Would come back in a heartbeat!

What an amazing place. A lovely well equipped large home with space for everyone. Extremely clean and tidy! We loved the open fireplace and nothing beats a cheese platter and wine out the back while watching the amazing sunsets over the dam and vineyards. Vico Monti we will be back!

Terrific place for our two families. Lots of great features, things for kids to do and seperate living areas for the times you want to escape the kids. Super close walk to some great wineries and eateries.

Vico Monti is a beautifully appointed property with a very welcoming feel about it. This was a family gathering we hold annually and this was a first held at a non-family location. It was a great success and definitely something we want to repeat again next year if dates are available.

From the moment we arrived the amazing sceanery just instantly calmed us. There are so many areas where we could just relax and enjoy our surroundings. The place was clean and tidy and close to all the Hunter deliveries.
Vico Monti has everything you need!
Where do I start! Vico Monti is just gorgeous. The provisioning of the kitchen and bathrooms is well above what you get in most airbnbs. Beautifully decorated and very comfy beds. Plenty of room to spread out – the rumpus room just a step or so from the main house is such a great area to relax. Great pool with the best view of the dam and vineyards. If we didn’t need to leave to go to a wedding we would have just stayed at Vico Monti all weekend. Very clean throughout and the welcome bottle of wine is a lovely touch. I highly recommend Vico Monti for all of the above and also it’s location – so easy to get to all the wineries in the Hunter.
Love Vico Monti
This is our second stay and we love the property. It really suits our family’s needs. The improvements you are making to the grounds are really lovely. The property is very central to all our family and is a great catch up location opportunity for us. It is very comfortable and offers great share space as well as places we can escape to when we need a break. Love Vico Monti and plan to visit again next year.

The group of people all agreed we would stay there again, it was fantastic. The scenery on Sunday afternoon was very special, glorious sunset, great venue and a fantastic bunch of friends.

9 ladies had a wonderful, relaxing 2 night stay at Vico Monti. Being winter, the fireplaces were great, and all the rooms were well appointed and super comfortable. We also enjoyed some drinks in the late afternoon winter sunshine in the courtyard.

Such a lovely home. Very comfortable in a quiet country setting. Close to wineries. Fabulous outdoor area with a fire pit and games area. Perfect location to unwind. Highly recommend.

Amazing place that is perfect to share with your family. The grounds are stunning and the house is very well maintained and stocked. We loved having drinks and watching the sun set over the vineyards in your own private and intimate space. The plunge pool was perfect for an early morning or late evening dip to refresh. Cannot wait to come back again!

My family stayed at Vico Monti Homestead for 4 nights for our daughters wedding. The accommodation was perfect and everything was the same as the photos – if not better. The communication was amazing with Hunter Valley Stays and all instructions were clear and concise. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the homestead and thank them for all the little touches that added to the convenience of an away wedding.

It was magical. Went for mums 60th. Couldn’t have asked for more. Lifetime memories to cherish was created here. Everyone had ample space and the house is so gigantic we could enjoy with families, friends and kids without any dramas. Great set up and location. Will definitely return back.

We stayed at Vico Monti Homestead for 2 nights for mum’s 60th. The accommodation was perfect and everything was close by, plus it was as same as picture perfect – same as the photos. The communication was amazing with Hunter Valley Stays. We really enjoyed our time here as everyone had ample space. Kids loved the play room and pool table. The grounds are stunning and the house is very clean. We loved having drinks and watching the sun set over the vineyards. Great accommodation for our family weekend, everyone loved it. Loved the fire pit and indoor fireplace. Would definitely stay at Vico Monti again. High recommend it.

Hassle free
The Vico Monti was perfect for the five couples celebrating a business milestone. The setting was instantly relaxing, especially lazing by the plunge pool. Everything was clean and simple to use. Great BBQ made it easy to cook for the group of 10. We had an easy stroll up to the Yellow Billy restaurant for lunch. Plenty of space and facilities, all was hassle free.
View over the vines was spectacular
I can’t rate Vico Monti highly enough! The property is comfortable and tastefully furnished and the kitchen is very well equipped. The plunge pool and multiple outdoor entertaining areas were well utilised by our group of 11. Access to 5 bathrooms was an added bonus with a large group. Finally the view over the vines was spectacular! I look forward to returning in Winter so as to enjoy the indoor and outdoor fireplaces!
Family Easter
We all had plenty of space to enjoy our lovely long weekend in the Hunter. Vico Monti is a nice home, set up to have large groups, and they provide opportunities to have some fun times. We enjoyed playing Finksa and pool, sitting and watching the sunset with the kangaroos hopping through the vineyards. The outdoor table was a lovely setting as we had a local catering company in to prepare a birthday lunch for my mum. The house was very clean, plenty of bathrooms, aircon and amenities to make for a very nice stay.
