One of six private cottages at Billabong Moon estate located on the Hunter Valley’s famous Hermitage Road, Rothbury, Casuarina Cottage is true to it's name and is nestled amongst a forest of native casuarina trees. Perfect for up to four guests, this cottage has a private outdoor 4 person spa tub only footsteps from your room, a large covered bbq dining area, access to the estate's bush walking tracks and an estate swimming pool. Featuring everything you would expect from a modern self contained cottage including a kitchenette with Nespresso coffee machine, an open plan living and dining room with TV, air conditioning and combustion wood fire stove for cosy nights in. Guest accommodation includes 2 bedrooms both with views through the french doors to the bushland beyond, ensuites with bath and overhead fans.
Share a memorable weekend whether you choose to stay in or explore the best cellar doors and breweries or fine dining restaurants such as Botanic and Muse Kitchen or perhaps hire a bike to explore the Hermitage Road cycleway, all within moments of your cottage. Casuarina Cottage is the ideal location to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this unique setting or venture out and have all you need only moments from your doorstep.
For the active at heart, take a bush walk around the estates walking tracks past the billabong and the casuarina trees or wander across the lawn to enjoy a dip in the estates refreshing saltwater swimming pool. You may like to hire a bike locally and take the Hermitage Road cycle track to explore the best your destination has on offer.
Casuarina Cottage is a hidden gem in the Hunter.

TARIFF
Weekend - 2 night minimum up to 4 guests, $610 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - 2 night minimum up to 4 guests, $520 per night (Mon-Thurs)
Infants under 2 are free.
Please note that a $40.00 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $400 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.
LONGER STAYS
Please contact us for a customised quote for longer stays of 3 nights and over.
NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.
Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.
